RESIDENCY
You or your spouse have/has been a resident of the State of Georgia for at least 6 months immediately prior to the filing of the action for divorce. Normally the divorce should be filed in the Georgia County that the spouse lives. However, your spouse can sign the waiver included to have the case heard in your county.
